Under the fierce August sun, on the streets of the ancient town of Fenghuang in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Li Xiangyang, who lost both his arms, rides a unicycle e-scooter, delivering food orders to customers on time.
An electric shock accident at the age of four cost Li his arms, but the hardships of life did not break him. Instead, they forged his resilience. By day, Li is a food delivery pioneer weaving through the ancient town. When night falls, he switches to his role as a "calligrapher." With help from his family, he sets up a stall in Fenghuang to sell his calligraphy.
Beyond that, Li is also the Party branch secretary of the Fenghuang County Beyond the Mountains Public Welfare Association. He has supported multiple students, helped disabled families, and often travels to rural areas to hold motivational classes for left-behind children. He says he understands the insecurity and isolation felt by people with disabilities, which is why he chooses to move under the sun—using his own presence to show others that physical limitations cannot block the path forward.(翻譯:潘曉慧)
