Is there treasure hidden in the barren mountain? Hey, guys, join me on this visual journey!
Let's focus on Zhe'er Village – a small hamlet at the foot of Xuefeng Mountain, Anhua County, Hunan Province, where streams from Liubuxi National Nature Reserve flow through.
A pickup bumps up the winding mountain road. As the altitude rises, greenery brushes my shoulders. I focus my frame on the weathered face of the 74-year-old elder captain of production team. Standing tall in the jolting truck bed, his bronze skin edged with gold by the sun. In his words, the story of the once-barren mountain tea unfolded like a legend. Thanks to the national forest conservation and rural revitalization policies, these barren lands has sprouted hopes of prosperity.
The cooperative's King Kong Truck carries us up the tea mountain. My camera grasps the steepness and hardship here. Wandering through the layered sea of tea bushes, grazing the tender buds, I finally understand the preciousness of this tea mountain.
The tea farmer introduces the uniqueness of the tea. It is more than just leaves, it is the crystallized wisdom of the people. No roar of cold machines here, only the gentle plucking. In the footage, every leaf holds warmth, the steadfast dedication preserved the soul of traditional craftsmanship while paving a path to wealth.
When barren mountains and wild hills transform into "gold and silver mountains," it occurs to me that, some mountains will never be truly barren for the hardworking people in the frame have breathed endless vitality into them through their own hands. And you, beyond the cameras, must have found the most touching answer lying in the fragrance of the tea that blankets the slopes.
